Specializing in individual therapy for the unfaithful partner
My specialization in working with unfaithful partners came through years of treating affairs as a couples therapist.
In my experience, the unfaithful partner often arrived in couples therapy already having been told who they were by everyone in their life, by the internet, and sometimes by previous therapists. They’d been called sex addicts or narcissists. But 95% of the time, that didn’t match what I was observing.
What I usually saw was someone who didn’t know how to name what was missing in their marriage, someone who didn’t know how to ask for what they needed, and someone who wasn’t equipped to handle the conflict that asking would have created. Someone who, in the absence of those skills, ended up making a decision they’re now living with the consequences of.
Today, I focus entirely on individual therapy for the unfaithful partner. The work draws on everything I learned about marriages from years of couples therapy, applied to the person sitting across from me trying to figure out what comes next.
How I work
About working with me
All of my services are 100% online. I’ve been living abroad for almost four years now, first in Europe and currently in Mexico, and my practice was built around remote work from the start. I’m not available for in-person sessions, but I’ve been working with clients through secure video for years and it’s how Bridgetown Clinical has operated since before the pandemic.
I keep my caseload intentionally small, around 5-8 clients per week. The work I do requires preparation, consultation, and focus.
When you’re on my calendar, I’m thinking about, reflecting on, and reading about your situation between sessions.
